Where can I get tickets?
Get your CFR tickets right here! Great deals are available with ticket packs and group discounts, as well as student discounts on Wednesday and Thursday night performances. Tickets start at just $10 in the 300 level. (Your CFR ticket also gets you into Farmfair International, just show your CFR ticket at any entrance to Farmfair International.)
Is the CFR family-friendly?
Yes! The CFR offers excitement for all ages, including novice competitions starring future rodeo champions. Your CFR ticket also gets you entry into Farmfair International, where you can learn more about Alberta’s agricultural history, see some trick riding and roping, and get up close to a variety of animals. Check out the Farmtastic Fun Weekend, which will feature plenty of kid-friendly entertainment like the Heavy Horse Pull, Stock Dog Competition and more!
Are the live music shows open to all ages?
You must be at least 18 years of age to attend concerts at The Roadhouse presented by TD. Proof of age will be required for entry.
Where is the event?
Where do I park?
Northlands has several parking lots for CFR fans. (Note: The Coliseum lot will be reserved for suite and six-pack ticket holders.) Disability parking is available in the North Plaza by the pedway, with pickup and drop-off available at the Coliseum entrance.
Can I leave my car parked overnight?
To ensure everyone gets home safely, guests may leave their vehicles overnight without penalty as long as they are picked up no later than noon the next day.
How else can I get there?
Take advantage of public transit! Northlands Coliseum is on the LRT route and ETS offers several regular park-and-ride locations.
Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes! All public entrances are wheelchair accessible. Disability parking is available in the North Plaza or you can get here via ETS bus, LRT or DATS transit. Please contact us with any questions about how we can accommodate your needs and help make your visit more enjoyable.
What should I wear?
All CFR events take place indoors, so you should be comfortable in your best boots and buckles. You can also pick up some great western wear in the Coliseum or at RAM Country Marketplace in the Edmonton EXPO Centre.
Is there a coat check?
There is no coat check available at the CFR.
Where can I eat?
CFR visitors can choose from a variety of food vendors on site, including several concessions. If you’d like to stretch your legs, there are multiple dining options at Northlands Park Racetrack & Casino. Additionally, you could also explore Edmonton between shows for an impressive selection of restaurants and eateries.
Can I bring my own food/snacks?
Outside food/beverages are not permitted into the building. Bags may be subject to inspection.
Can I bring a backpack to the event?
Backpacks can come into the event but will be subject to search. Any items that are prohibited or deemed to be a risk by event security will not be allowed in.
Is re-entry allowed if I leave?
All guests must have their tickets scanned in and out when exiting the building or they will not be allowed re-entry. Guests re-entering will be expected to go through all security procedures in place.

What is the CFR Six Pack?
With the CFR Six Pack you receive the same seats for each performance of CFR at a reduced rate. Also included are unique commemorative tickets, a Six Pack souvenir pin and more!
What events take place at each performance?
At CFR you see all the major pro-rodeo events at every performance. The first event is Bareback, then Steer Wrestling, Novice Events, Boys Steer Riding, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.
Do you have group ticket rates for Canadian Finals Rodeo?

How does a contestant qualify for the CFR?
The top 10 point earners at the end of the Pro Rodeo Canada season, and the top two qualifiers from the Canadian Rodeo Tour compete.
What happens to the ice?
The ice plant is turned off, allowing the concrete slab to warm up and then the ice starts to melt. As the ice melts it is broken up and moved into a pit. Next, 500 cubic yards of dirt is brought in. The dirt is packed down to create a foundation, then a top layer of loose dirt is worked in until the ideal texture is formed.
How are the bullfighters selected?
The bullfighters, the pick-up men, and the timers are all voted on by the contestants.
How is the stock selected?
Stock lists are provided by the 12 different stock contractors. The event reps then review the stock list and selects which animals should be at the finals. Each night in the rough stock events a draw is made to see which contestant rides on which animal.
When did CFR start in Edmonton?
The Canadian Finals Rodeo started in 1974.
What does the number on the back of each CFR contestant represent?
The number on the back of each CFR contestant signifies their order in the overall rankings.
Are pets permitted on the Northlands grounds?
No, pets are not permitted on the Northlands grounds.
